Bidding rules
- Where bidding happens
Each lot is a separate post in the gallery’s Telegram channel. The channel is private: to join, message the manager @yankovskaya_gallery. To bid, write the amount as a comment on the lot post. The bot shows the current bid and messages you in the bot chat if you are outbid. So the bot can message you, open it and tap Start. The bot and the lot posts are in Russian; to bid, write just the number, e.g. 32000.
- Starting price and increment
The starting price and the increment are in the lot post. The increment is the minimum amount by which a new bid must exceed the current one; you may bid more. A bid equal to the current one is not accepted: a new bid must be at least the current bid plus the increment. If the gallery raises the increment during the sale, it says so in the comments.
- When a lot closes
The closing time is in the lot post. A bid in the last 15 minutes moves the close to 15 minutes after that bid, so a lot closes only after 15 minutes with no new bids. Fifteen minutes before the end the bot reminds everyone who has bid, in the bot chat (in Russian).
- Bids are final
A bid cannot be withdrawn or lowered. If you delete your bid, the gallery will no longer let you take part in its auctions.
- Absentee bid
If you cannot follow the auction, message the gallery manager in Telegram @yankovskaya_gallery. The manager will bid for you in the comments, marked “absentee bid”.
- Result
The lot goes to the highest bid at closing. Some lots have a reserve — a minimum price the gallery does not disclose. If bidding does not reach it, the lot is unsold. The manager sends the winner an invoice in the bot chat within 48 hours; it is paid within 48 hours.
Results of past auctions are in Auctions.
